Nostalgia.

I enjoy life. I enjoy adventures, places (new and familiar), and people (new and familiar). I enjoy living. I do pretty well at keeping in the moment and enjoying the present and life as it is…but there are moments that I still miss. Moments in space and time that have touched my heard deeply, and I wistfully think of them now. Hindsight is always sweeter, and this I do remember. It doesn’t change the purity of feeling, though, and the connections I share…it doesn’t change the fact that the past has made me who I am today. Sometimes I want to go back and just breathe in that air and steep in the presence, knowing all that I know now, and be able to experience it all again. That’s the beauty of life, though, that we cannot repeat any moment twice…and it’s why I strive to live in the present, not digging back into the past or reaching too much into the future. I try to enjoy each moment as it comes…I try to just be, knowing how precious each moment is. Still, it’s nice to reminisce and appreciate all that has been…and, all that will be.
